About John Danziger

John Danziger

John Danziger is a multi-instrumentalist and composer from East Lansing, Michigan. He studies Music Education with Professor Ava Ordman and Composition with Dr. Ricardo Lorenz at Michigan State University.

At the age of 5, John began his musical journey with piano lessons. Although his childhood dream of becoming a concert pianist didn't materialize, the skills he developed laid a strong foundation for his diverse musical career. John's musical repertoire expanded in middle school when he took up the cello and bass in the school orchestra. High school brought new opportunities with band, where he learned tuba and participated in marching band.

His high school years were particularly formative, thanks to mentors like his band director, Mr. Larzelere, and orchestra director, Mr. Rosin. They provided John with opportunities to conduct, compose, and premiere his work at the Michigan Music Conference.

John's future plans include becoming a collegiate band director while continuing to compose and publish his music.
